Jason Lee
Player Development Coach
About Jason Lee
A Southern California native, Jason began playing beach and indoor volleyball at age 12 alongside his sisters Kristin (Pepperdine) and Stacey (UCLA). As a junior All-American, he earned a full scholarship to Loyola Marymount University, where he was a four-year starter under Coach Rick McLaughlin. An outstanding defensive specialist, Jason finished his senior year ranked #2 in the NCAA for digs per game and helped lead LMU to its highest-ever national ranking of #6, including a historic upset over #1 Long Beach State.
While excelling indoors, Jason pursued beach volleyball whenever possible, earning his AAA rating in college and qualifying for the AVP tour immediately after graduation. Over eight years on the AVP, he partnered with and competed against Olympic gold medalists, honing his skills at the highest level.
Jason’s coaching career is equally impressive. He built Pacifica Christian High School’s volleyball program from the ground up, guiding the team to a California State Championship. He founded and directed successful indoor and beach clubs in Malibu and Idaho (including a partnership with Olympian Annett Davis and head coach of Boise State University Alex Venardos), and has mentored countless athletes. Today, Jason is partnering with Turhan to develop a premier beach volleyball training club and facility, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of players.
Married for 24 years, Jason and his wife are proud parents of four children: Hudson (19), Landon (17), Savanna (15), and Declan (14).
With decades of elite experience, a passion for coaching, player development, and a commitment to excellence, Jason Lee brings unparalleled expertise and passion to every athlete he coaches.
